Training guide for the Proptia Attendant app
Welcome to your training guide for the Proptia Attendant app. This guide covers everything you need to know to make your shift run smoothly, including how to use the Automatic License Plate Recognition (LPR) features.
Step 1: Logging In
Getting this step right is the key to a smooth start for your shift.
Open the App: Go to attendant.proptia.com or click the white "P" icon on your desktop.
Credentials: Enter your unique login details.
Select Kiosk: You must select your specific kiosk location.
Important: This connects you to the correct camera feed; if you choose the wrong one, you will be looking at the wrong entrance.
The Golden Rule of Searching
When looking up a guest, you have three options: Visitor, Host, and Property. To avoid mix-ups, follow The Golden Rule:
Always start your search in the Property Directory.
Why?
Visitor Search: Requires the spelling to be exactly right.
Host Search: Only shows guests registered by that specific person (e.g., if a husband registered a guest, you won't see them if you search for the wife).
Property Directory: Shows every single approved guest for that address, regardless of who registered them.
Processing Visitors
When a car pulls up, the LPR feature automatically captures the license plate.
For Pre-Registered Visitors: Search for the resident in the Property Directory to find the guest on the list. You then have two options:
Issue Pass: Logs the entry and prints a physical pass for the dashboard.
Process: Logs the entry for security records but does not print anything. Use this for quick deliveries or if the printer is down.
For Unregistered Visitors:
Find the resident in the Property Directory.
Call the Resident: Hover your mouse over their name to see a list of phone numbers in the resident's preferred order.
Add Guest: Once you have verbal approval, click the "Add Visitor" button, type their details, and select "Save and Print" or "Save and Process".
Critical Icons & Warnings
Pay close attention to these icons next to names:
Red Note Icon: Indicates special instructions from the resident. You must hover over this icon to read them.
Red 'R' Badge: Stands for Restricted. This person should not be allowed entry under any circumstances.
Pro Tips for a Better Shift
Video Feed: Do not let your mouse cursor sit on the LPR video feed, as it can cause the video to pause.
Dark Mode: Switch to dark mode for better eye comfort during long shifts.
Clean Up View: Click the gear icon to hide any columns you do not use to declutter your screen.
