How 3rd Party Vendors (PM) for STR Set Themselves up for Visitor Notifications
Stay on top of all guest and vendor activity by setting up visitor notifications in the Proptia portal. This feature ensures you receive real-time alerts—no need to keep checking the dashboard.
Step 1: Log into the Proptia portal and click My Profile in the top right corner.
Step 2: Go to the Notifications tab to manage how you receive alerts.
Step 3: Check that your email and phone number are correct. To get text alerts, select your mobile provider from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Click the purple Edit button in the top right to make changes. Pick your provider, such as AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile.
Step 5: Find the checkbox labeled "Receive Notifications for ALL Visitors to Property". Check this box if you want "total visibility". You will receive alerts for every visitor to the properties you manage, including those added by residents. This is the recommended best practice for managers. Leave this box unchecked if you only want to receive alerts for visitors tied directly to your account.
Step 6: Under Notification Settings, choose what you want to be notified about, like visitor processed/denied, registration confirmations, emergency community alerts, and reservation approvals. Check the boxes under Email or Text Message according to your preference.
Step 7: For crucial updates, select both Email and Text for Emergency Community Alerts so you never miss important information.
Step 8: If you’ve selected text message notifications, make sure you don’t leave the provider field blank. The system needs this to deliver your alerts.
Step 9: Click Save to confirm your changes.
You’re all set! The Proptia portal will now send you visitor and vendor notifications directly to your chosen device, keeping you informed and in control—no extra effort required.
