How to Process an Unregistered Walk-Up or Drive-Up Visitor

This guide walks you through processing an unregistered visitor—sometimes called a work-up or drive-up—ensuring you follow every verification step for secure and smooth entry.

Before starting, make sure you have three important details from the visitor:

  • The address they're visiting
  • The host’s name
  • The visitor’s own name

With these details in hand, you’re ready to start.

Step 1: Click on the Properties tab.Step 2: Search for the visitor’s destination address in the search bar.

Step 3: Select the matching address from the results.

Step 4: Look for the host’s name. Check for a phone icon beside their name.

Step 5: If there’s NO phone icon, inform the visitor you can’t verify entry. Ask the visitor to leave and suggest they contact the host to get added in the system.

 

Step 6: If the phone icon is there, hover your mouse over it to reveal the number.

Step 8: Call the host to verify the visit. If access is denied, politely ask the visitor to exit.

Step 9: If the host approves, continue to registration.

Step 10: Click the Add Visitor tab and select the host’s name.

Step 11: Fill out the registration form. Specify if this is a temporary or permanent visitor.

Step 12: Choose the registration type (Individual), visitor type (Guest), and select the approved pass type (e.g., Test Pass – One Day).

Step 13: Enter visitor information. All fields with an asterisk (*) are required.

Step 14: Add the visitor’s first and last name, and any other relevant details like email, phone number, or license plate.

Step 15: Check and adjust the start and end dates if necessary, based on the pass type.

Step 16: Finalize the entry:

  • Click Cancel to discard changes.

  • Click Save to record for later.

  • Click Save & Process to issue the visitor card immediately.

  • Click Save & Print Pass to generate and print a physical pass.

That’s it! You’ve processed a work-up or drive-up visitor from start to finish, keeping your site secure and your process seamless.
