2N IP Verso Overview

How to Use the IP Verso Phone Unit for Visitor Entry

The IP Verso unit streamlines secure visitor access to your building. With its modular design, you can use call buttons, touchscreens, and keypads to contact a resident or enter access codes. Here’s how to efficiently manage visitor entry using the different components of the IP Verso.

Module 1: Identify Unit Components

Step 1: Locate the main panel at the top, which contains the base controls for unit operation.

Step 2: Find the call button. Use this to initiate a call to a pre-programmed number—typically the guardhouse or office.

Step 3: Identify the built-in camera above the call button. This automatically snaps a photo for the visitor entry record, aiding security tracking.

Step 4: Check for additional modules such as the touchscreen display or QR code scanner. Their position may vary depending on your configuration.

Module 2: Calling a Resident or Security

Step 5: Press the call button to contact a pre-set number. The recipient can remotely decide to grant access.

Why: This direct call feature ensures visitors are properly screened before entry.

Module 3: Using the Resident Directory

Step 6: If your unit is equipped with a touchscreen display, tap anywhere on the display to bring up the full resident directory.

Step 7: Scroll through the directory or tap Search to find the correct resident.

Step 8: Use the multitap feature for text input—press each on-screen button multiple times to cycle to the correct letter (a legacy mobile texting style).

Step 9: Select the resident’s name to initiate a call to their unit.

Step 10: Wait for the resident's response. If the resident wishes to grant access, they will enter their unique facility code (for example, 9* or another designated sequence).

Why: This allows for secure, individual verification by the resident.

Module 4: Using Manual Entry Keypad

Step 11: Tap Entry to turn the bottom display into a virtual keypad.

Step 12: Manually enter the visitor code displayed on your pass to gain automated entry.

Why: This option supports access for visitors with pre-issued codes, enabling self-service check-in.

Pro Tip

Familiarize yourself with your building’s specific access codes and directory setup. Configurations may vary—some units may not have touchscreen or scanning features, but core calling and entry capabilities remain consistent. Knowing your unit’s features saves time and streamlines access for everyone.
