How to Unassign or Deactivate a Credential



As a property manager, you can easily deactivate, unassign, or reactivate credentials for residents in Proptia. Follow the steps below to manage resident credentials.

Steps to Unassign or Deactivate a Credential:

  1. Log in to Proptia:

    • Access your Proptia account using your property manager credentials.
  2. Navigate to the Resident Directory:

    • Go to Directories and select Residents.
    • Search for the resident whose credential you want to manage and select their name from the list.
  3. Access the Credentials Tab:

    • On the resident’s details screen, select the Credentials tab.
    • You will see a list of all the credentials assigned to this resident.
  4. Deactivate a Credential:

    • To deactivate a credential, click Actions next to the credential and select Deactivate.
  5. Reactivate a Credential:

    • If you need to reactivate a deactivated credential, click Actions and select Activate.
  6. Unassign a Credential:

    • To unassign a credential from the resident, click Actions, then select View/Edit.
    • Choose Unassigned and click Save. This credential will now be available to assign to another resident in the community.
