Proptia allows property managers to schedule or instantly process a move out for residents, clearing data for the property and preparing it for new occupants. Follow the steps below to use the resident move out feature.
Steps to Schedule or Process a Resident Move Out:
Log in to Proptia:
- Access your Proptia account using your property manager credentials.
Navigate to the Resident Directory:
- Go to Directories and select Residents.
- Search for the resident who is moving out.
Initiate the Move Out Process:
- Once you locate the resident, click Actions and select Move Out.
Schedule or Process the Move Out:
You can either:
- Schedule a Move Out Date: Select a future date for the resident’s move out.
- Select Instant Move Out: Immediately clear all data associated with the resident for that property.
Complete the Move Out:
- Once you’ve chosen the move out option, Proptia will clear the resident's data from the property, making it ready for new owners.

- Removes them from the property/unit
- Deactivates all credentials (fobs, transponders, mobile credentials, PINs)
- Deactivates any active visitor passes or ePasses

- Revokes access to the web portal and mobile app
How do I move out a single resident?
- Go to Directories → Residents
- Search and open the resident’s profile
- Click Edit
- Scroll down and select Move Out

- Move-out date (scheduled), or
- Instant move-out

Can I schedule a move-out for a future date?
Yes. You can set a move-out date to automatically deactivate access at a specified time.

Yes. Select instant move-out to immediately revoke all access and remove the resident.

- Go to the Residents section
- Click Move Out All
