How to Verify Your Phone to Activate Your Bluetooth Credential.

If your property management team has assigned you a Bluetooth (BLE) credential, you will need to verify your phone to activate it. Follow the steps below to complete the activation process.

Steps to Activate Your Bluetooth Credential:

  1. Check Your Email for the Activation Link:
    • When your property management assigns you a Bluetooth credential, you will receive an email with the subject line Proptia Mobile Credential Activation.
    • If you don’t already have the Proptia mobile app, download it using the provided link in the email.
  2. Open the Proptia Mobile App:
    • Once you’ve installed or opened the mobile app, you’ll see the Credentials Widget on your dashboard.
  3. Activate the Credential:
    • If your credential is pending activation, tap on the Credentials Widget.
    • Select the credential that needs activation and tap Activate.
  4. Verify Your Phone Number:
    • You’ll be prompted to verify your identity. You can do this via email or phone number.
    • Select Phone Number, enter your mobile number, and tap Send.
    • You will receive a text message with a verification code. Enter that code into the app and tap Verify.
  5. Add Your Credential:
    • After verifying your phone, tap Add Card to activate your Bluetooth credential.
  6. Set Up Touchless Entry:
    • Once your credential is activated, you will see a star icon indicating that your card is set to Touchless mode.
    • This allows you to use the Bluetooth credential without taking your phone out of your pocket. For example, when walking into an amenity or driving through a gate, your phone will automatically send a signal to unlock the door or gate.
  7. Deactivate Touchless Mode (Optional):
    • If you prefer to manually trigger the signal, you can disable Touchless mode. This will require you to swipe the toggle in the app when approaching a door or gate to send the signal.
